  16. <p>A Saudi co-commander has some harsh words for Stormin' Norman
  17. </p>
  18. <p>    They were comrades-in-arms and co-commanders of the Persian
  19. Gulf War, but Prince Khaled bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia has now
  20. issued some fighting words about his old friend General H. Norman
  21. Schwarzkopf. At issue is Schwarzkopf's current best seller, It
  22. Doesn't Take a Hero, which General Khaled has read and found
  23. riddled with "inaccuracies and slanted remarks." In an
  24. unusually open gesture for a member of the Saudi royal family,
  25. the prince released a public statement accusing the general of
  26. exaggerating his own role during the conflict ("One has to
  27. wonder whether there was no one else in the Gulf War picture
  28. capable of doing anything right") and challenging his account
  29. on specific points. Among them: the prince says Schwarzkopf's
  30. claim to have "orchestrated the liberation of Kuwait City" is
  31. untrue; the prince and his Arab forces did it. The flap is not
  32. likely to disappear. The prince notes: "I will be addressing
  33. some of these issues in my own book in due course."
